Atlantic Schools joins the Solidarity Study Olympiad

On November 5, the 16th Solidarity Study Olympiad began, organized by the NGO Coopera, which has been joined by Atlantic Schools students and in which schools from all over the world participate. This new edition is held under the slogan 'I am where I can help' and for every hour of study spent in the library, €1 will be used to finance development cooperation projects in less developed countries disadvantaged. In this case, the implementation of the Primary Cycle in the Rainbow Infant School of Senegal will be supported, which will mean that children from 6 to 11 years old can continue with their studies in the same center and not travel through dangerous territories to other schools further away.
The Solidarity Study Olympiad is an action of awareness and solidarity, whose objective is to raise awareness about the obstacle that can imply for the future development of a person not having access to basic education and lack of training.
In the 2017 edition, about 41,000 students participated and managed to gather 454,526 hours/euros to support 3 projects in the DR of the Congo, the Philippines and Guatemala. This year, the challenge is to get 50,000 participants and 450,000 hours/euros. Until December 5, our students will demonstrate, by collaborating with this initiative, that 'If you study, you cooperate'.
