Leonor Rodriguez, Olympic Silver Medalist

Familiar as it is, very few of us have had the chance to get our hands on an Olympic medal.
We were waiting with some impatience for the moment to see Leonor Rodríguez Manso, Alumni Guaydil'09, in the classrooms of Atlantic School,
celebrate with her in person the silver medal of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, that historic milestone of the Spanish Women's Basketball Team.
In leo currently plays in the ranks of Spar Citylift of Girona; his busy and intense sports schedule, in the Spanish Women's League and the Eurocup Women, allowed a brief return home for Christmas, the best dates for teachers and students to share their experiences and advice. Leonor, for her simplicity and good work, her usual smile and closeness, is a special person who knows how to transmit the positive values of sport, commitment, teamwork and true leadership.
Our students enjoyed the talk, in addition to watching the precious Olympic medal up close, without a doubt a plus.
Sports practice is one more formative agent in school, which contributes to the development of more responsible behaviors, helps coexistence, raises self-esteem, forges discipline, stimulates brain and reduces stress.
Of course, there will be few who reach the Olympics, but it is a great satisfaction for the Atlantic Schools educational community to have Olympic medalists or other elite athletes among us.
