4ESO visit to Astican
The students of 4ESO, who plan to study a branch of Engineering or Business Administration, visited Astilleros Canarios, Astican this week. The students were received by the President and CEO of the Company, Germán Suárez Calvo, who is also an Atlantic School alumnus and the school's current father. With great emotion and detail he told them the history of the company and like his father, Germán Suárez Dominguez, along with other partners, managed to make it a company with benefits when it ceased to be public and passed into private hands. Germán Suárez encouraged them to prepare tirelessly and to choose a career that truly attracts them "so that everyone's professional life is a source of excitement every day."
The students were able to see what day-to-day life is like at the Shipyard, through a tour of the entire campus, and what jobs are developed. Finally, they showed how curious they were about the functions of each department and did not stop asking questions. Without a doubt, it was a very enriching experience for everyone, within the Atlantic School Orientation Program (PoAs). In two weeks they will return to Astilleros de Canarias for a full working day, coinciding with the Atlantic Week that we celebrate in the school, to go through the Departments of Astican related to the university careers they have in mind.
Many thanks to Astican for giving this group of 4ESO students the opportunity to visualize their future and encourage them to continue growing as professionals, but above all as people.
