The All-Olympics project comes to Atlantic Schools

Todos Olímpicos is the project promoted by the Spanish Olympic Committee (CoE) and the DISA Foundation to bring the values of Olympism to students in schools in the Canary Islands. Today it was the turn of our Atlantic Schools students, who were able to put into practice the positive values of sport: respect, equality and self-improvement.
This initiative was created in 2008 by the CoE and comes for the third consecutive year, thanks to the DISA Foundation, to the schools of the Islands. The athletes in charge of making the origin and history of the Olympic movement known to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students of EP are the expert in Rescue and Lifeguarding, Carlos Alonso, and the athlete, Yanira Soto.
The day was divided into a talk; where they learned about the history and origin of the Olympic Games and then they have practiced with high competition sports equipment, given to the project by different Spanish federations, various sports such as fencing, boxing, beach volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, archery, rugby, volleyball, etc.
It has undoubtedly been a great experience for everyone and an opportunity to remember the importance of practicing sport and learning from the example of many Olympians who leave their mark on the values they transmit and have transmitted throughout their sporting career.
