Underwater Robotics Workshop

Underwater Robotics Workshop
The last Atlantic Week has left us with interesting scientific-technological experiences; different courses attended the robotics workshop of PLOCAN -Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands- located in the town of Taliarte (Telde).

This activity is part of the ROVINO project (Low Cost Underwater Robotics with Arduino Technology) which is part of the EDUROVs Educational Underwater Robotics initiative of said platform; students develop a programmable underwater robot remotely operated from low-cost tools, with free hardware (Arduino)  and software.

It is a model of learning by projects with which it is possible to increase, energize and motivate students from a different perspective, since robotics invites them to develop creativity, intuition, scientific vocation and own initiative to continue researching.

Robotics is no longer only part of the future, it is a very present reality in the classroom, where our students are able to use the tools and methodologies necessary to, in this case, program an underwater robot successfully.
