Three Atlantic School Students Win Extraordinary Baccalaureate Award
One more year we receive with great satisfaction the news that several of our students have obtained the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Prize corresponding to the 20/21 academic year, which is awarded annually by the Government of the Canary Islands. In this call, we also have the best and highest regional grade obtained by Miranda Neyra Alabart (40/40 in History of Spain, Spanish Language, English and Mathematics). second best rating at the provincial level is for Ignacio Ruiz Saavedra and among the eight winners is also our student Marta Cabrera Sánchez.
Miranda Neyra, with Honours in 2nd Baccalaureate, began her Law studies a few weeks ago at the Carlos III University of Madrid with a 13,875 admission. Ignacio Ruiz (13,640 in EBAU) was clear from an early age that his vocation was the Medicine, a degree that he is finally studying at the University of Navarra after passing the specific selection tests. Ignacio finished 2 BACHS with Honours and during the course he achieved second place in the regional phase of the Chemistry Olympiad. Both leave school with a C2 Proficiency level of the Cambridge English ESOL exams.
Marta Cabrera ended up in June with a dossier brilliant academic, plus a C1 Advanced level in English. The Degree in Physiotherapy has begun at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. After being part of the Artistic Gymnastics Team of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, she came to this career because of her sports passion; she currently combines her studies with the training of the small gymnasts of her team. Marta, together with Miranda, was the winner of the VI Edition of the Canary Islands Masterclass.
The winners are exempt from paying the tuition fees for the first year of the university studies in which they are enrolled. Obtaining this distinction allows them to qualify for the National Baccalaureate Awards.
Now begins a new stage that they will surely know how to get the most out of, grow as professionals and, above all, as people. From Atlantic Schools we wish you good luck and congratulate you, as well as the other winners, your teachers and families.
